UPMC2 is an internal tool of the Directorate of Forests, Government of West Bengal. Field staff use it to verify and update the posting and service details of Forest Rangers, Deputy Rangers / Foresters and Forest Guards.
What we collect when you sign in
- The username you sign in with. Passwords are checked by our server and never stored in readable form.
- The name, designation and mobile number you enter under “My details”. These are shown as “Verified by” on the sheets you verify.
How we use it
- To record who verified or proposed a change to an officer’s details, and when.
- To let administrators review and approve proposed changes.
Officer records and the change log are stored in a Google Sheet maintained by the Directorate. Nothing is sold or shared outside the Directorate, and nothing is used for advertising.
Stored on your device
Your sign-in session is kept in the browser until you sign out or close it. Your “My details” entry is kept in the browser so you don’t need to type it again.
